It has been such a busy and fun 2017 so far at Deirdre Rakus Photography and I wanted to reach out and say hello! I also can't wait to catch everyone up on some behind the scenes fun in early February!
Over the Winter, in addition to some amazing family and newborn sessions, I have also been busy updating the design of my website and company materials. I look forward to sharing everything with you all in early Spring 2017 and in the meantime will be catching you up on some Winter sessions I haven't had a chance to blog yet.
So, while since the Holiday's I've been soaking up family fun and more of the non-portrait side of my business, I can't resist checking in and sharing some portraits from my family session, to share a bit more of the personal side of me, and also to prove that I too force myself to get on the other side of the lens, not necessarily because I want to, but because I know in 5 or 10 years we will all love having these memories.
So, as in years before, I met with my dear friend, Kacey, and we wrangled our families into photo-worthy outfits to take portraits. Then, I set up the camera and try not to be too big of a pain while Kacey takes the pictures that include me. This year we maintained our terrible weather streak yet despite the light rain I adore these portraits! As you can see, my kids are not shy in front of the camera (most days)!
It was our first official full year living in Grafton, MA and we simply love the town. We thought, what better a location this year for our family session than the historic Grafton Common.
Honestly, so lucky to have my loving family! Cheers, Friends! Here's to a wonderful 2017!
