Newborn sessions are done within 10 days of baby being born.  I will save your due date in my calendar and as soon as baby arrives, send me an email and I will promptly respond with a possible session date and time. I bring my equipment, set everything up and always work with an assistant who helps with posing and baby safety.  Everything we do focuses on baby first, all equipment and props are sanitized and we have someone within arms reach of baby at all times.

This is a very relaxing, calm session.  It usually runs about 2-3 hours so we can get baby into a tranquil sleepy demeanor and allow plenty of time for cuddle and food breaks with mom.  Your baby runs the session this day and often the mom and dad will like it because they get some time to just enjoy sitting back and relaxing which is hard to come by the first couple of weeks.

I have a large selection of props including wraps, baskets, headbands, knit hats, faux flooring.  If there is anything special you would want to incorporate we can go through everything at the beginning of the session to see what we want to try.  Then, of course, it's up to your little one to see what he or she feels like.

The last 20 minutes of the session will be devoted to taking portraits of the entire immediate family.
